Ningaloo Reef

Ningaloo Reef

World renown for it’s 250 km fringing reef and the annual visit of large numbers of Whale Sharks, is it rated in the World’s top ten best Marlin Fisheries and even today it is acknowledged that it’s potential is only just been touched upon by a handful of dedicated charter skippers.

With the outer reef less than 1 km from the beach, the ocean rapidly drops off to the canyons and the continental shelf, providing a near year round fishery for Black, Blue and Striped Marlin, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi and a host of other blue water pelagics.

Meanwhile, monster Giant Trevally and Spanish Mackerel patrol the back of the reef and the breaks, along with Red Bass, Coral Trout, Barracuda and a variety of other reef and Pelagic species.

Inside the reef, the lagoon flats provide Lure and Fly fisherman with possibly the best Australian fishery for targeting Bonefish, Permit, Golden Trevally, Spangled Emperor and various other species in the crystal clear waters.
